Pushing Through The Storm
I thought we’d never end,
I thought you were the one.
Now I’ve lost another friend.
I guess I was wrong.
You have gone on and you won’t look back.
You push forward down the road.
But I’ve been knocked off track.
It ended because you can’t admit you’re wrong.
And now I’m the one crying,
And trying to find a joyful song,
But there’s no hope here
Until I can push forward,
I’m going to suffer through the tears.
And push through the storm.
I’ll keep my head high,
And try to fix what’s been torn.
By a man who has left me here all alone.
So here I am walking straight.
Searching for my rainbow,
In hope to create,
A brand new life :).
