Silver lining
They say there’s a silver lining, around ever cloud.
As I look up I can see it right now.
There’s hope on the horizon.
Got more signal then Verizon.
And since I’m up I’m not making that trip down.
I can see you standing there.
With your frown and despair.
But a good day is coming.
You just need to stop running.
And just stay calm for awhile dear, stay calm .
So take it in, and let it out.
Because here in the quiet there is no doubt.
That better times are arising.
And I promise I’m not lying.
Just breath for a second and wait it all out.
Let your smile out, just let it show.
Make sure the world around you knows.
That the days are getting brighter.
And my way is looking lighter.
And now its time for me start going.
Past all the lies that take up my time.
I’m finally stepping out of this old sad line.
So that I can push ahead.
Walking in the steps of the dead.
That took the road before me.

And now I’m living for myself no one else left but to be.
You never expected it from someone like me.

So I keep my rhymes coming just to prove it can be done.
You don’t have to be a rapper you just need to know one.
To turn on a mic and blurt out a rhyme.
So as I finish don’t frown more is to come.
I just need to practice and learn to run.
With the hardest of hard and keep my head up.
And learn that sometimes there is good luck.
Just wait and see there more to come from me.
My time is not over till the power goes out.
And when it does you’ll hear my last shout.
And then my words won’t be as loud.
Until another picks them up from out the crowd.
And keeps my music going.
Music is always ever growing.
